Why this site exists
I’m 26 and I want to buy a house in Spain. With prices the way they are right now, that’s very hard for me, so I’ve decided to try a different way.
This board has 1,000,000 pixels. Each pixel costs €1 and is sold only once. You get advertising space of your own, visible to everyone who visits, and I get one step closer to my house.
If you’d like to support the project further, you can pay more than the minimum. Thank you for being here.
How it works
- Mark your area. Press “Buy pixels”, then press on an available pixel on the board and drag as far as you like. You’ll see the size and the price as you drag. Near another ad or the edge, the area snaps into place so that no gaps are left.
- Set up your ad. Upload your image and add a title and your link. If you don’t have an image, your ad will be the title in large type on the color you choose. However small your area is, your ad shows in detail when you zoom in.
- Pay. At least €1 per pixel, or more if you want to support the project. Payment is secure, through Stripe.
- Done. Your ad appears on the board right away, and those pixels are yours.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
€1 per pixel (VAT included). The board is 1,000 × 1,000 pixels. A 10 × 10 ad is 100 pixels, or €100. That is the minimum: you can pay more if you like.
Does a small ad look good?
Yes. Every ad is saved in high definition: on the full board it takes up its area and, when you zoom in, it shows in detail even if it’s only 10 × 10 pixels.
How long will my ad stay up?
Each pixel is sold only once, so nobody else can buy your area. It doesn’t expire: your ad stays there for as long as the site is online, and we commit to keeping it online for at least 5 years.
Can I change the image or the link later?
Yes. When you pay, you get a private link to edit your ad whenever you like. The position and size can’t be changed.
What can’t be advertised?
Content that is illegal, adult, violent or misleading, or that uses other people’s trademarks or images without permission. The details are in the terms of purchase.
Is it safe to pay?
Payment is made on a page hosted by Stripe, one of the most widely used payment gateways in the world. This site never sees or stores your card details.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes. Check “I need an invoice” in the form and enter your tax details.
